Title: Retail Client Manager
Location: AR-Bentonville
The North American Professional Services team leads and manages all of Nielsen's relationships with consumer-focused manufacturers and retailers. The team includes over 1,600 professionals in the United States and Canada and coordinates all relationships for several hundred clients headquartered in North America including Coca-Cola, Colgate-Palmolive, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft, Hershey's, Heinz, Procter & Gamble and Unilever, to name a few. Clients range from CEOs through to senior brand, marketing, sales and market research executives. As a Retail Client Manager, you will manage and grow the client relationship with key decision makers and drive entanglement within the client organization through matching Nielsen products and services to business issues and delivering value-added analytical insights. You will utilize a consultative-selling approach to uncover and solve the client's business issues while achieving revenue targets and fostering a collaborative business relationship. Specific responsibilities include:
-Accurately position Nielsen capabilities with client to ensure Nielsen information is a vital element of their decision making process regarding business issues on price, promotion, assortment, segmentation, new product introductions, loyalty and other relevant topics.
-Utilize a Value Measurement Objective approach to track, quantify, and execute compelling Return on Investment for client respective to their strategic objectives.
-Actively review the client's business climate and continually provide advanced analytical solutions to address any business gaps and/or opportunities in the marketplace.
-Maintain and build productive business relationships with key client contacts.
-Lead client meetings to introduce new products and services as well as share relevant industry insights with client.
-Maintain a client project list, regularly communicate project status with client and effectively manage changing client priorities.
-Act as a contact for integrating the suite of Nielsen products & services for the client.
-Conduct any one-on-one or group training with client on Nielsen products and/or services.
-5 years of related Consumer Products Goods (CPG) industry experience in a Retailer, Manufacturer or Syndicated Data supplier environment REQUIRED
-Advanced working knowledge of Nielsen products and services or other similar syndicated data in solving client business issues
-Strong analytical and consultative-selling skills with a proven track record of delivering value-added analytical insights to a client
-Successful experience working with multiple levels within a retailer organization
-Exceptional presentation and communication skills including the ability to present to small groups.
-Advanced technical skills with Microsoft products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
-Solid project management and negotiation skills
-Team player in a highly motivated, collaborative work environment
-Basic understanding of financial reporting principles (e.g. revenue vs. billing, budget vs. forecast)
-Bachelors Degree
