          Community Health Systems Ultrasound Technologist - Part-time Afternoons in Bentonville Arkansas United States

          Title: Ultrasound Technologist - Part-time Afternoons
          Location: AR-Bentonville
          Performs ultrasonic examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques for radiologic diagnosis. Responsible for the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound procedures. Ensures that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with patient identification obtained prior to conducting the procedure.

          EDUCATION

          Graduate of an accredited radiologic sciences or ultrasound technology program. Graduate of an accredited radiologic sciences program with a B.S.; Completion of advanced modality program(s) is preferred.

          EXPERIENCE
          Two years experience as a Ultrasonographer in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.

          CERTIFICATION
          * ARDMS/CCI certified or graduate of a program accredited by an agency recognized by CHEA, USDOE or CMA that specifically conducts programmatic accreditation for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography/vascular technology and eligible for registry
          * Current American Heart Association BLS
